AI app rescue · Fix · Finish · Ship
Your AI-built app is 80% done.
I’ll get it across the finish line.
Built it with an AI tool, and now it’s broken, stuck, or almost ready but not quite there?
I debug, finish, secure and ship AI-built and vibe-coded applications without rewriting everything that already works. You don’t need to know what’s wrong — just that something isn’t working. Send me the messy version. No cleanup. No judgment.

AI made software easier to start. Not always easier to finish.
Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Copilot and ChatGPT changed who can build software — but getting a vibe-coded prototype working and running reliable software are different jobs. The second one is mine.
“It works locally.”
What to do
“The deployment is broken.”
What to do
“I changed one thing and everything broke.”
What to do
“I don’t understand this code anymore.”
What to do
“The AI keeps fixing one bug and creating another.”
What to do
“I don’t know whether this is secure.”
What to do
“I need to add a feature but I’m scared to touch the code.”
What to do
“I have 80% of the app. I just need someone to finish it.”
What to do
That’s where I come in. I figure out what’s actually happening, keep what works, fix what doesn’t, and only rebuild when rebuilding genuinely makes sense.
What I can do with your almost-finished app
Six ways to rescue what you already have. Most projects start with one and grow into another.
01
Fix what’s broken
AI-generated code throwing errors? Features behaving strangely? I’ll trace the problem to the actual cause instead of stacking another AI-generated fix on top of it.
AI Code Debugging02
Finish what AI started
Got an app that’s 70–80% complete? I’ll take the existing codebase, understand what’s there, and get the missing pieces working. No unnecessary rewrite.
Finish My AI-Built App03
Make it production-ready
Works in the demo, but you’re afraid to give it to real users? I’ll check the architecture, security, database, APIs, dependencies, performance and deployment before they become expensive problems.
Production Readiness04
Rescue the codebase
Inherited a project you don’t understand? I’ll map out what’s actually happening, identify the risky parts, and give you a practical path forward.
Existing Codebase Rescue05
Review before you spend more
Not sure whether your AI-generated code is good enough? I’ll tell you what to keep, what to fix, and what should be replaced.
AI Code Review06
Add the missing AI
Need AI inside a real product? LLMs, APIs, RAG, agents, automation, structured outputs and production integrations — built to survive real users.
AI Integration
Also: building from scratch
iOS, Android, web, AI, UI/UX and system design — built by the same engineer who fixes them.
From “AI built it” to “it actually works.”
- 01
Send what you have
A URL, GitHub repo, error, screenshot, Loom, or just a description. It doesn’t need to be tidy.
- 02
I investigate
I understand the system — architecture, dependencies, APIs, database, auth, deployment — before changing anything.
- 03
You get a clear diagnosis
What’s wrong, why, what to fix, what can stay, and the order to do it in. In plain language.
- 04
We fix it — you keep the code
Implementation with clear communication. You keep ownership of the code and the project.
Keep what works.Fix what doesn’t.Replace only what needs replacing.
Your app doesn’t need a rewrite. It needs an engineer. AI-generated code isn’t automatically bad code, and rewriting everything isn’t automatically good engineering — the first step is understanding what you already have.
Existing codebase
Audit
- Keep
Works, and is worth keeping.
- Fix
Right idea, wrong implementation.
- Replace
Cheaper to rebuild than repair.
Improved system
A working product — without throwing away months of work.
Don’t know what’s wrong? Start with a diagnosis.
“We were stuck close to launch. Umaiz helped identify what actually needed fixing instead of suggesting a complete rewrite.”
AI App Diagnostic
You don’t need to know whether the problem is your code, database, API, deployment, architecture or something else. That’s my job. Send me your AI-built app and I’ll investigate what you’re working with.
You’ll find out:
- What’s actually broken
- What’s causing it
- What can safely stay
- What needs fixing
- Any obvious security risks
- Deployment and performance problems
- What I’d fix first
- What the work is likely to involve
You get the findings — and a quote — before any implementation work begins.
What people say
From founders and teams I’ve worked with.
“Umaiz understood the problem quickly and got us unstuck without making things more complicated.”
Daniel Morgan — Founder “We had an AI-built application that was almost there but constantly breaking. Umaiz found the underlying issues and helped us get it into a much better state.”
Sarah Mitchell — Product Manager “Very easy to work with, technically strong, and straight to the point. He solved what we couldn’t figure out.”

I’m Umaiz.
Software engineer & architect. Problem solver. Occasional code archaeologist.
I’ve spent 7+ years as a full-stack developer and architect, building software across web, mobile, backend, AI, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
But the work I’m most interested in happens after the AI-generated prototype. That’s the messy middle:
- The demo works.
- The idea is good.
- Then the bugs start.
- The architecture gets harder to change.
- Deployment breaks.
- The database doesn’t behave the way you expected.
And suddenly you need someone who can look at the whole system and figure out what’s actually going on. That’s the work I do.

Questions before you send me the mess
Can you work with Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit or v0 projects?
Yes — all of them, plus Claude, Copilot and ChatGPT output. I don’t much care which tool generated the code. What matters is the application underneath it: the architecture, APIs, database, dependencies, and where things are breaking. Lovable and Bolt projects tend to need deployment and backend work; Cursor and Copilot projects more often need the seams between generated pieces checked.
What if I don’t know what’s wrong?
That’s completely fine — “something doesn’t work” is enough to start. Send me the URL, repository, screenshot, error, or whatever you have, and I’ll tell you what else I need. Working out what’s wrong is the first thing I do, not something you have to do before contacting me.
Do I need to rebuild my application?
Usually not. Rewriting is the most expensive option and it’s rarely the one the code actually calls for. I’d rather find the specific things that are broken and fix those.
Can you fix something the AI couldn’t fix?
That’s one of the main reasons people come to me. AI is good at generating and modifying code; the problems appear where the generated pieces interact — architecture, state, APIs, databases, authentication, deployment, production environments. Those are exactly the things a model can’t see from inside one file, and exactly what I look at first.
Do I need a developer, or can the AI fix it?
Try the AI once or twice more — sometimes that is enough. If two rounds haven’t fixed it, the model is missing context it can’t get from your description, and each further attempt adds an untested change. That is the point where a developer who reads the code, reproduces the failure and fixes the cause is cheaper than another week of prompting.
How does the first review work?
You send me what you have and describe what’s going wrong. I go through the application and the code, then come back with what I found, what I’d fix first, and what I’d leave alone. You get that in plain language, not a report you need a developer to interpret.
Can you help with deployment?
Yes, and it’s one of the most common reasons people get in touch. "It works locally" is almost always an environment, configuration or build problem rather than a code problem, and those are findable.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the work, so I don’t publish a price list. After a first look I quote a fixed price for the diagnosis, and any fix is scoped from the findings — so you know the cost before any work begins, and nothing changes partway through.
What do you need from me?
Less than you’d think. A repository or a deployed URL, some idea of what’s broken, and access to whatever is failing — logs, the hosting dashboard, an error message. If you don’t have all of that, send what you do have and I’ll tell you what else I need.
Your AI-built app doesn’t need another prompt.
It might need an engineer.
If you’ve spent hours asking AI to fix the same problem and you’re going in circles, stop fighting the code. Send me what you’ve got — I’ll figure out what’s wrong and tell you what I’d do next.
No cleanup. No judgment. The messy version is usually the useful version.
